Dirt Devil® central vacuums utilize two types of filtration—Filtered Cyclonic™ and disposable bag units. Neither are required to be exhausted outdoors, but it is an option on most models. The primary type of filtration in Filtered Cyclonic is cyclonic separation with the secondary being a pleated filter. Disposable bag units utilize a triple layered filter bag that has a large capacity of 6-gallons and filters dust particles as small as .3 microns. The outside of the bag never gets dirty, so this increasingly popular model provides a truly dirt-less experience.
