Element central vacuums units are available in two different types of filtration- Permanent Filter and Disposable Bag power units. The permanent filter unit utilizes a self cleaning permanent filter, a 6-gallon dirt canister and exhausting outdoors is not required. The disposable bag unit features a 6-gallon triple-layered filter bag that filters dust particles as small as .3 microns. The outside of the bag never comes in contact with the vacuumed dust, ensuring the bag replacement experience is the cleanest possible.
