HBA Success: HBA of Ocoee Region
Turning Member Benefits into Member Growth
Building Participation
In April 2022, Executive Officer Charlotte Peak launched an initiative to increase HBA Rebates participation, helping builder members earn money back and adding value to their ORBA membership.
Charlotte Peak provides her support to the Ocoee Region BA as Executive Officer on Pro Bono terms. The association operates as a not-for-profit organization.
The Ocoee Region Builders Association member base has an established high level of engagement with the association and places high value on their membership to the local community and association.
Generating Greater Builder Participation
The effort includes additional touch points with builder members promoting HBA Rebates. This effort included:
Additional email marketing
Improved exposure on their website with membership benefits
Inclusion of HBA Rebates in new membership packets
Membership meetings
Discussion around using rebates to offset membership dues
Personalized Builder Support
Charlotte personally introduces new builder members interested in participating directly to the HBA Rebates team, enabling clear communication and hands-on support from the start.
Direct discussions of program specifics with builders
Guided onboarding to start claiming HBA Rebates
Individualized customer service driving repeat participation
Co-Branded Member Outreach
Ocoee Region BA utilized a customized co-branded promotional flyer that promoted HBA Rebates along with the support of HBA Tennessee and Ocoee Region BA. HBA Rebates offers custom, co-branded, and resized promotional flyers upon request to any state or local HBA to help drive effective promotion.
The Ocoee Region BA model exemplified the use of member benefits as an effective membership retention and recruitment tool.
Growing Builder Participation
The baseline registered builders in HBA Rebates was set at the 2021 registration of 7 Ocoee Region builder members registered.
In 2022, 9 Ocoee Region builders registered with HBA Rebates.
In 2023, 2024, and 2025, 10 Ocoee Region builders registered each year with HBA Rebates, bringing the total builder member registered with HBA Rebates to 37 registered members from Ocoee Region.
There is a total of 67 builder members of the Ocoee Region BA. The goal is to have all builder members registered with the potential of participating with HBA Rebates.
Between 2022 and 2025, an average of 20 Ocoee Region BA had participated with HBA rebates on an annual basis
We’re committed to keeping our builders engaged through HBA Rebates.
